What is a Storycircle?
Woolyvard’s audio platform is based on storycircles. These are media outlets run by a creator. The creator can add his own stories to the storycircle, or can get his friends and other creators to contribute to it.
Storycircles are collections of recorded voice memo stories that are organized by a location, theme, or institution (ex: New York 4AM Train Stories)
There are no fees to create, join, or contribute to a Storycircle.
When a recording within a storycircle is played, it earns revenue. This revenue is generated by the recording. The Storycircle owner and contributor share this revenue based on a split percentage set by the Storycircle owner. The Woolyvard platform takes a percentage as well.
The inclusion of storycircle mods in the revenue incentivizes mods to make as good of a storycircle as possible, and incentivizes them to cultivate the best content in their storycircle.
In order to begin earning with a storycircle, you need to be accepted to the Woolyvard Partner Program. Here are the requirements:
1,000 total Storycircle subscribers
2,000 valid public listen hours for your storycircle
Once you meet the requirements, go to the ‘Partner Program’ tab on the app, or on web, and click ‘Apply’. A representative from Woolyvard will review your application and will give you a response. Application reviews can take up to 2 weeks. After that, you can begin earning and building your storycircles!
